Unfortunately, I think that the first option is more likely, and the later highly unlikely. But for whatever reason she has decided to make a stance now, good. I guess it's better late than never. Of course many she could have helped to save the lives of our precious men and woman who have been killed fighting an illegal war. It will now be interesting to see where the Democrats go from here. Will they finally stick to their guns, and start to stand up for what the Democratic Party is supposed to believe? I'm quite sick of fair weather democrats who give lip service to the ideal of the party, and then once the going gets tough, they back down and bury their heads in the sand. The time has come, and gone for that matter, to fight the lies of the Neocon/GOP cabal with the hard cold truth.
A majority of Americans want our troops to come home as soon as possible. This does not mean that "once the Iraqis stand up, we'll stand down" or any of that horse shit. It means bring them home NOW. The war is over! The war took us only 3 weeks to accomplish, and guess what? We won! It's the occupation that we're loosing.
Let's hope that this is not the last we'll hear from the Minority Leader on this issue.
