Where's Pelosi been for 3 years?

Monday, June 19, 2006

For the past 3 years; 2,500 United States troops killed; 25,000 wounded and/or injured; and countless Iraqi civilians killed; Nancy Pelosi has been MIA on speaking out about our actions in Iraq. Apparently she's had some epiphany regarding our actions in hell that is Iraq. I have one simple question...Where has she been? The Minority Leader has not only been strangely quiet on the issue, but has, by all appearances, supported the stance of Chuckle Nuts and his administration. Could it be that she's now terrified that the people of San Francisco have had enough and are making their voices heard? Or could it be that the Democrats have FINALLY pulled their collective heads out of their collective asses and decided to have a plan?

Part 1

Part 2

Unfortunately, I think that the first option is more likely, and the later highly unlikely. But for whatever reason she has decided to make a stance now, good. I guess it's better late than never. Of course many she could have helped to save the lives of our precious men and woman who have been killed fighting an illegal war. It will now be interesting to see where the Democrats go from here. Will they finally stick to their guns, and start to stand up for what the Democratic Party is supposed to believe? I'm quite sick of fair weather democrats who give lip service to the ideal of the party, and then once the going gets tough, they back down and bury their heads in the sand. The time has come, and gone for that matter, to fight the lies of the Neocon/GOP cabal with the hard cold truth.

A majority of Americans want our troops to come home as soon as possible. This does not mean that "once the Iraqis stand up, we'll stand down" or any of that horse shit. It means bring them home NOW. The war is over! The war took us only 3 weeks to accomplish, and guess what? We won! It's the occupation that we're loosing.

Let's hope that this is not the last we'll hear from the Minority Leader on this issue.
