Well I guess I've not posted an entry for a while now. Oops. Chalk it up to laziness, or the fact that I'm really tired of dealing the the bullshit coming out of DC and the US of A. Whatever the reason for my indolence, I will endeavor to post something at least every other day. With that said...(you are here-by forewarned, there will be profanity):
Let's begin with Super-bitch-gutter-slut Marilyn Musgrave. Is it possible for this raving lunatic to possess any more bigotry? I'm fairly certain that Adolf Hitler would gaze upon that fat, plastic, jowly face with envy in his heart. For you see, Ms. Musgrave thinks that the gays are out to attack marriage and consequently all the little children. That's on the beginning of the ethical slippery slope this c**t finds herself. Rather than guise her hatred and intolerance for gay and lesbian citizens of the US, she has the temerity to hide behind the little children. Are you kidding me? "Oh, we have to protect the little children." "Marriage is under attack." SHUT THE HELL UP YOU STUPID RAVING LUNATIC BITCH!
If this bitch even gave one iota of consideration to the FACTS, I think that she'd be singing a different tune for sure; still seething with hatred and bile, but another one for sure. Here are just a couple of facts: 1) approximately 98% of the pedophiles are heterosexual. And for the dimwitted out there, a pedophile is some sicko who lusts after children. "Oh, no! That can't be right!" I can hear it now from the retard right. "It's the gays! The gays are the ones molesting our children." Well I hate to break the news to y'all, but your wrong. 2) The fallacy that somehow marriage would suffer if gays and lesbians were allowed to marry is one of the most insane notions I've ever heard. If you look at the statistics, and yes there are numbers on this, the divorce rate among heterosexual couples is increasing in all but one state. Any guesses? "Yes you in the back with the really bad mustache...oh, well hello Mr. Hitler. You're looking well for a dead mass murdering fuck-head. You know the answer? Marilyn told you right after you got done sodomizing her with a eggplant? Well please spare us the lurid details about that, and tell us the answer. Yes that's right...Massachusetts!" The only state in the United States that allows gays and lesbians to legally marry has the lowest divorce rate in the country. So to me that would say that allowing gays and lesbians to marry is actually GOOD for marriage. Maybe someone should have told that bitch that. See the problem is that these people like Musgrave are operating under the false pretense that the US was founded as a Christian country.
Of course nothing could be further from the truth. As I'm sure all of you were aware, the founding fathers (and I'm sure some mothers too) were not staunch believers of religious dogma, but instead considered themselves to be deists and humanists. For those who don't know a deist is, according to Merriam-Webster's, a movement or system of thought advocating natural religion, emphasizing morality, and in the 18th century denying the interference of the Creator with the laws of the universe.
"Where the preamble declares, that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed by inserting 'Jesus Christ,' so that it would read 'A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion;' the insertion was rejected by the great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination."
-Thomas Jefferson, Autobiography, in reference to
the Virginia Act for Religious Freedom
So as you can see, people like Musgrave have tried to manipulate the historical facts to fit their misguided notion of the world. Just another example of the right-wing neo-fascist cabal exerting its will over the people of the United States.
That segues nicely into the next part of my rant. Satan's/Shrub's veto the Diana DeGette's (D-CO) stem cell legislation, official known as H.R. 810 "The Stem Cell Research Enhancement
Bill." In a statement to the press, Mrs. DeGette said the following:
“I am extremely disappointed that President Bush has issued his first veto on H.R. 810. With his veto, the President has destroyed the hope of millions of Americans who are suffering from diseases like Parkinson’s and diabetes that could be cured by stem cell research.
“H.R. 810 would have corrected the President’s short-sighted policy by allowing this important research to move forward under ethical constraints. This research holds so much promise to solving diseases that affect more than 110 million Americans. Vetoing this bill is one of the greatest mistakes of his Presidency.
“This research has the support of more than 70% of Americans and the President will suffer the political consequences for vetoing H.R. 810. I promise to keep fighting to expand stem cell research. This important legislation will become law; it’s only a matter of when.”
The facts are that by a 2 to 1 margin, a majority of Americans are in support of stem cell research. From religious leaders to even some of the most conservative republicans (and by conservative I mean that in the old usage of the word). So what possible could Shrub be thinking? I'd be my bottom dollar (or Baht since I'm in Thailand) that he's thinking of nothing but the mid-term elections. And Crap-weasel (aka Karl Rove) is behind the whole thing. I'm fairly certain that they have not yet come to the realization that their shenanigans are backfiring on them. A majority of the voters are now seeing the administration and the Republican Party for what they are; nothing more than the hand-maidens of the neo-con religious right. This is nothing more than a ploy in an attempt to gain the votes of the Christian nut balls. Alas, this time I think their machinations will all be for naught.
Well I think that's enough of a rant for today. I'll certainly have more to say later, maybe today, but most certainly tomorrow. It is very interesting to read and hear outside opinions of what is happening the US being in Thailand. Cheers, and watch your back.
