News Hounds

This is my first foray into writing about the strange world of Glenn Beck, and I thought that the best thing I could do would be to research euphemisms for crazy. I came across a darling British term “Dagenham:” Adj. Totally insane, crazy. Because on the London underground/rail transport system Dagenham (Heathway) station is 3 stops beyond Barking station. Barking is slang for crazy." 3 stops beyond Barking on the Tube? Seems fitting. With video.

Glenn Beck appeared Tuesday morning (10/27/09) on Fox and Friends, and the deference paid him left no doubt that he is now the star. He appeared less than fully awake, and at about the 30 second mark on the video, there is a silhouette shot, with his upper teeth thrust out, that strongly suggests rodent in his ancestry. But Beck wasted little time working up to a truly bizarre statement.

Referring to his now infamous Baseball Bat Monologue Beck again reiterated his violent imagery:

“This administration...they model themselves...after Al Capone. You take these guys on, and they will bash your brains out. That’s what they did to Fox, that’s what they’ve done to the Chamber of Commerce. That’s what they do to everyone who stands in their way. So, you have to ask yourself, as Sean Connery did, what are you prepared to do. If you’re going to get into a fight with these guys, you better be able to battle all the way to the end.”
Yes, in pushing for a “Consumer Financial Protection Agency,” Obama "swung the bat" by criticizing the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which he said, "is spending millions on an ad campaign to kill" the proposal. Crunch! You can almost hear the flesh spatter....(Remainder.)
