Tom Of Finland Movie Trailer:

Until the year 1971, being gay in Finland could land you in jail for years. There was a boy born in 1920. In his childhood, he drew pictures of naked men. While drawing, he wore only leather boots. As a young man, he fought in the war and had sex with his fellow soldiers, both Finnish and German. During his adulthood, he lived a double life. By day, a talented advertising artist and a pianist, by night a genius creator of erotic drawings. We remember him through leather, huge muscles, even larger cocks and humor -- empowering the masculine gay man. We know who Tom of Finland is. Now meet Touko. Via Joe My God

WGB: How many of my readers are familiar with Tom of Finland?  As a young gay man I found his sketches very exciting yet slightly disturbing at the same time. I am excited to see this movie but sadly it is not expected to be released until 2015.

Vladimir Putin Says Russia Does Not Discriminate Against Gays

Vladimir Putin Says Russia Does Not Discriminate Against Gays:

Am_putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared in a press conference in Amsterdam on Monday and said that his country does not discriminate against gay people, Reuters reports:

"In the Russian Federation - so that it is clear to everybody - there is no infringement on the rights of sexual minorities. These people...enjoy all the same rights and freedoms as everyone else."

Tell that to Artem Kalinin:

In January, the Russian Duma passed a ban on gay "propaganda" in a 390-1 vote on its first reading:

But no, gays enjoy the same freedoms as everyone else, according to Putin.

And make sure not to miss my earlier post.

France's Senate Approves Marriage Equality Bill in 179-157 Vote

France's Senate Approves Marriage Equality Bill in 179-157 Vote:

Senate

The French Senate today approved Section 1 of its marriage equality bill in a vote of 179 to 157. Section 1 removes the requirement for different genders as a condition of the right to marry.

The bill was adopted after more than 10 hours of discussion. The National Assembly has already passed it 329-229 and according to AFP will not need to see it again.

Looks as though marriage equality is going to happen in France!

There are mostly French news reports right now so if anybody would like to fill in the details of what happens next, please feel free in the comments.
